THE HEARTSTONE

Story

Walt & Nancy & (our dog) Rupert

We have grown berries, harvested hay, and raised organic, grass-fed beef on Heartstone Farm for decades. In 2008, we expanded an additional 56 acres to pursue our dream of hand-crafting wine from grapes grown right here on the farm. Atop one of the highest points in Columbia, we planted six cold hardy varietals to craft our wines. Every year we add to our plantings to improve the experience for you, our guests whom have become our friends.

From our vinEYard

to your glass

Family owned and operated, we are proud to be a part of Connecticut Wine Trail and committed to producing some of the finest wines made in the State. For the convenience of all of our guests, our winery was constructed to be easily accessible to the handicapped. Relax on our patio overlooking the vineyard, glass of wine in hand. Feel free to bring a lunch basket, or enjoy exploring the food-trucks often visiting Heartstone!

You may be wondering why we have a cute pup as our brand. Well, Rupert, our faithful Australian cattle dog, roams the farm and provides constant entertainment. We chose Rupert to represent Heartstone because he reminds us that life should be fun and lived enthusiastically.

And so, we hope you come join us at Heartstone in the near future. Uncork and enjoy!
